上記 S.Johnson の補足説明は非現実的であると思います。一般的にナノサイズとして表されるのは、シリコン基板上に形成する基本トランジスタ構造の一部（ゲート長）として示される半導体微細加工技術であり、多数のトランジスタを集積したICチップ自体の大きさがナノサイズとなるものではありません。人体に埋め込む事を想定した場合、非接触ICカード等と同様に無線高周波でICの電源電力を供給することになるでしょうが、現在米国で愛玩動物に埋め込んでいる個体識別用ICチップと同様に、最小でも数ミリ角の大きさを必要とするものと思います。
